Five Axes Reach Around the Workpiece

Beyond the standard three directions, the K1 can cut while an object tilts or rotates, with a tilt range from minus 30 to 110 degrees. An automatic changer manages five tools, while a ruby centering probe helps locate the work accurately.

Metal, Wood, Plastic, and Even Jade

The 1.5kW spindle reaches 20,000rpm with claimed repeatability of 0.01mm. Supported materials include aluminum, brass, copper, steel, titanium, acrylic, engineering plastics, composites, resin, wax, wood, and jade; standard STL, STEP, and OBJ files are accepted too.

Desktop Accessibility Still Costs Workshop Money

Early Kickstarter backing begins at $5,199, 40 percent below the planned $8,599 price. Higher tiers add equipment such as water cooling, vise jaws, and a wireless jog handwheel, making K1 approachable by CNC standards rather than inexpensive in ordinary consumer terms.
