Eight Franchises Step Into the Specter

Nike's Specter Edition gives eight NBA teams a special uniform identity rooted in league history and local culture. The Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Boston Celtics make up the first group. Each franchise traces its story back to an early chapter of the NBA, giving the concept a historical spine beneath its dramatic name.

Team History Through a Smoky Lens

The uniforms use hazy, abstract graphics with a ghostlike visual effect, then tune the details to each club's city, fan culture, and past. That shared treatment ties the eight designs together without turning them into recolored copies of one jersey. Matching apparel is planned for later in the fall, extending each team's design beyond the court.

Holiday Jerseys With a Narrower Guest List

Unlike the Standard Issue collection made for all 30 teams, Specter Edition is a focused showcase for a small group of long-running franchises. The jerseys are expected to reach the public during the holiday season after appearing in the 2026-27 campaign. For collectors, the draw lies in seeing familiar team iconography filtered through one coordinated visual idea while each club keeps its own story intact.
