007 First Light follows James Bond before the tuxedo, reputation, and famous code number were his. IO Interactive casts him as a talented but reckless 26-year-old Royal Navy air crewman whose instincts bring him to MI6's attention. What follows is a standalone origin story about surviving the agency's training program and proving he belongs in the revived 00 section.

Spycraft With More Than One Answer

The third-person missions combine stealth and action in the flexible style IO Interactive developed through Hitman. Bond can bluff his way through an encounter, read the room and slip past it, or let a careful plan collapse into a firefight. Exotic locations, cinematic set pieces, gadgets, and vehicles provide the Bond flavor, but player choice determines how each assignment unfolds.

A Full Mission for the Handheld

Patrick Gibson plays the young Bond, with Lennie James appearing as the experienced John Greenway, one of the figures guiding his path through MI6. The Switch 2 edition brings the same single-player spy adventure to Nintendo's portable hardware on September 30. It is an appealing match for a game built around replaying missions and trying a different solution when the first plan gets messy.
