QD-OLED Speed Without the Flagship Bill

The ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace puts a 560Hz QD-OLED panel into a compact 24.5-inch monitor aimed squarely at competitive play. Its $699 price is still serious money for a 1080p display, but it lands $400 below the 720Hz ROG Swift sibling announced alongside it.

BlackShield Toughens the Screen

ASUS adds BlackShield film and an anti-glare coating to improve perceived black levels by up to 40 percent. The treatment also increases panel hardness, addressing a practical concern for a monitor that may travel between home, training spaces, and tournaments. QD-OLED supplies the deep contrast and quick pixel response that make dark scenes easier to read at speed.

A Smaller Screen Built for Focus

The Ace line uses 24.5-inch panels instead of the larger 27-inch OLEDs that dominate premium gaming displays. That keeps the entire playfield within a competitive player's field of view and makes the monitor easier to move. At 560Hz, it can refresh a new frame roughly every 1.8 milliseconds when the PC can supply them.

The XG259QWPG Ace is due in early Q4. It is the more attainable high-end choice in ASUS's new esports range, pairing extreme speed with QD-OLED image quality instead of chasing the lineup's largest refresh-rate number.
