A Tiny Camera With Its Own Point of View

The Instax Pal 2 is a palm-sized digital camera built for moments when pulling out a phone changes the mood. It now has an optical viewfinder and a one-inch top display, giving you more feedback while keeping the simple point-and-shoot character of the original. Black and white versions arrive later this month for $169.95.

Shoot First, Choose the Print Later

The Pal 2 stores up to 100 images internally, with microSD expansion available, then sends them to the Instax Pal app over Bluetooth or USB-C. The app can format shots for Mini, Square, or Wide film and offers five filter themes with six effects apiece. A new Animation mode captures ten frames and turns them into a short flipbook-style sequence.

The Printer Is Still Separate

Despite the Instax name, the camera does not contain a printer. Physical copies require a compatible Instax Link printer or a hybrid camera such as the Mini LiPlay or Mini Evo, all sold separately. That separation is also the idea's strength: the Pal 2 can stay small, pass around easily, and let you decide afterward which pictures deserve film. A hand strap, USB-C cable, and angle-adjustment accessory are included for quick tabletop or low-angle shots.
