A Lantern That Plays the Soundtrack

The JBL Pulse 6 wraps a portable Bluetooth speaker in a 360-degree light show. Its integrated handle gives it the shape of an old camping lantern, but the illuminated body is designed for patios, parties, and rooms where the speaker should become part of the atmosphere instead of disappearing into a corner.

Sixteen Ways to Set the Light

JBL includes 16 programmed themes, split between ten ambient looks and six party modes. The Pulse 6 can coordinate its lighting with compatible PartyBox speakers and the JBL PartyLight Stick, while Auracast links its audio with other supported JBL products. A single speaker can provide a contained glow or become one piece of a larger synchronized setup.

Better Sound Behind the Color

An upgraded acoustic design aims for more balanced output than earlier Pulse models. AI Sound Boost works to limit distortion and maximize performance as the volume rises, so the visual feature does not have to excuse weak playback. Battery life reaches 12 hours.

An IP68 rating protects against dust and water, making the portable design useful beyond carefully controlled indoor spaces. The $330 Pulse 6 is available to preorder now and is expected to begin shipping September 6.
