Lenovo Googlebook 15

Google's Laptop Idea Starts With Premium Hardware

The leaked Lenovo Googlebook 15 looks less like a budget Chromebook successor and more like a direct attempt at a high-end Google laptop. Its centerpiece is a 15.3-inch, 2880-by-1800 OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 500-nit brightness, and full DCI-P3 color coverage. A dedicated Google key and built-in Gemini tools give the new platform a visible identity beyond the Lenovo logo on the lid.

Panther Lake Meets Up to 32GB of Memory

An Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor with integrated graphics sits inside, paired with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x memory. Storage options are 256GB and 512GB. The leaked design also includes a large haptic touchpad, four Dolby Atmos speakers, a 5-megapixel webcam with physical shutter, fingerprint security, and Google's facial authentication.

A Thin Body With Full-Size Ports

Two Thunderbolt 4 connections join USB-A, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack, while Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 cover wireless use. The 70Wh battery is rated for up to 11 hours of controlled video playback. At 15.9mm thick and starting around 2.84 pounds, it is unusually light for a 15-inch machine. A price and launch date have yet to surface, but the hardware makes clear that Googlebook is aiming above the basic classroom-laptop tier.
