Chair-Mounted Sound Without a Headset

The Razer Clio X combines a gaming-chair head cushion with a wireless speaker, placing its drivers just behind the user's ears. It is built for players who want a personal sound field without wearing headphones through a long session. At $109.99, it also costs less than half as much as the original $230 Clio.

Near-Field Drivers Aim the Audio Inward

Inside the cushion are two 38mm near-field loudspeakers angled toward the listener, supported by two 55mm passive radiators for added low-end depth. THX Spatial Audio processes stereo material into a 360-degree presentation, while Razer HyperSpeed 2.4 GHz wireless handles the low-latency connection to a PC. The Clio X can also work alongside a soundbar for a broader speaker setup.

A Strap Fits Razer's Gaming Chairs

An adjustable nylon strap secures the cushion to the headrest of Razer gaming chairs. The speaker requires external power through a 15W USB-C connection, and Razer recommends a PD 2.0 source so volume is not limited. A power bank of at least 10,000mAh can keep the chair free from a wall cable during play.

A More Accessible Version of the Clio Idea

Razer revealed the Clio X at PAX West 2026 as a streamlined alternative to its first speaker cushion. The smaller drivers and external-power requirement help reduce the price while preserving the core headset-free concept. It is available through Razer's website and physical retail stores.
