Samsung Builds a Book6 for Everyday Budgets

The 14-inch Galaxy Book6 brings Samsung's current laptop design down to a $799 starting price. It is a compact Windows machine for school, office work, browsing, and streaming, with Intel Core 3 or Core 5 Series 3 processors rather than the pricier Core Ultra hardware found elsewhere in the family.

A Practical 16:10 Screen

Its 1920-by-1200 IPS display uses a taller 16:10 shape and an anti-glare finish, giving documents and web pages more vertical room. The laptop weighs about 2.97 pounds and measures 15.7mm thick, while gray and Violet Silver finishes keep the clean, symmetrical Book6 look.

Twenty-Five Hours on Samsung's Clock

Samsung rates the 61.2Wh battery for up to 25 hours of video playback. The included 45W USB-C charger can restore about 33 percent in 30 minutes, a useful top-up for a machine meant to move between classes, meetings, and the couch.

Enough Ports Without a Dongle Pile

Configurations run from 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD to 16GB and up to 1TB of storage. Two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI, and a headphone jack cover common accessories, while Galaxy features make it easier to share files, use a tablet as a second screen, and move work between Samsung devices.
