Samsung’s Giant Tablet Keeps Its Familiar Shape

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to continue Samsung’s line of enormous premium Android tablets with another 14.6-inch display. A leaked image shows the same broad metal body, extremely narrow bezels, and small teardrop selfie-camera notch used by its predecessor.

An Ultra Design That Has Settled In

Two rear cameras return in what appears to be an almost unchanged layout. Samsung already reduced the display notch and moved the S Pen charging area onto the frame with the Tab S11 Ultra, and the new image offers no obvious external revision beyond that established design.

The resemblance reaches farther back than one generation: the Ultra line has kept essentially the same visual formula since the Tab S8 Ultra. For a mature tablet shape built around maximizing screen area, Samsung seems more interested in continuity than another round of cosmetic reinvention.

The Meaningful Changes May Be Inside

A new chipset and Android 17 out of the box are expected, but detailed performance specifications have not surfaced. Those internal changes will need to carry the upgrade story if the final hardware looks as close to the Tab S11 Ultra as this early image suggests.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is rumored to debut within the next couple of months. Until Samsung reveals what is under the metal shell, its defining promise remains straightforward: a huge Android canvas with familiar Ultra proportions.
