The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered brings Geralt's enormous dark-fantasy RPG to Switch 2 with revised visuals, controls, combat, and skill progression. It includes the base game plus Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, so the package reaches well beyond the search for Ciri. Every post-launch update and the two major expansions are part of the return.

More Than a Resolution Bump

Gameplay changes accompany the visual overhaul, addressing how Geralt handles in a fight and how players develop his abilities. An expanded photo mode offers another way to explore the Continent's cities, swamps, islands, and monsters. The Switch 2 version also uses features specific to Nintendo's hardware, while keeping the appeal that made the original portable release unusual: a huge open-world adventure that can leave the television.

Players who already own The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch can claim the Switch 2 remaster as a free upgrade. That removes the biggest obstacle for anyone who spent years building a save on the earlier handheld version. The remaster arrives September 29, giving new players the complete Geralt saga and returning players a cleaner way to carry one of the system's largest RPGs into a new generation.
