Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 returns to the same unforgiving metropolis with a completely new cast. The ten-episode anime is a standalone story, so David Martinez's finished arc remains intact while another group of people risks being consumed by chrome, corporations, and their own ambitions.

Revenge and Redemption Intertwine

The new characters are fighting separate battles across Night City, but their paths gradually knot together. CD Projekt Red describes the season as a raw human story of revenge and redemption, a pairing that promises emotional damage alongside the gunfire and extreme body modification.

Studio Trigger Plugs Back In

Animation studio Trigger reunites with CD Projekt Red, with Kai Ikarashi stepping into his first series-director role. Kanno Ichigo leads the character design, Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, writer, and producer, and Tsuneo Imahori supplies the score.

The first Edgerunners found its power in knowing Night City rarely lets anyone escape cleanly. This follow-up is chasing a different tragedy rather than repeating the old one, while keeping the electric animation and ruthless setting that made the original hit so hard.
