Azeroth Gets a Fifth-Edition Rulebook

The Dungeons & Dragons World of Warcraft Gameplay Expansion brings Blizzard's setting into fifth-edition play as D&D's first Universes Beyond release. The book is not just a tour of familiar places. It gives players rules for building Warcraft-style heroes and gives Dungeon Masters the creatures, magic, and setting tools needed to run campaigns across Azeroth.

Classes Recast for Warcraft

Six new subclasses include Demon Hunter rangers, Discipline and Shadow clerics, Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of Holy paladins, and a Path of Elements barbarian. The book also includes three revised subclasses, 13 class skins, 11 playable species, more than 60 spells, over 25 magic items, and more than 50 monsters. That is enough material to support a party shaped by Warcraft without asking every player to improvise the conversion.

More Than One Way Into the World

Local game stores receive early access on November 3, ahead of the broader release. Standard, alternate, and collector covers are joined by accessories including a Dungeon Master screen and an Icecrown Citadel map pack with five double-sided posters. A 74-page digital adventure on D&D Beyond gives groups a ready-made starting point, while miniature packs and tokens fill out the table for players who want the full crossover treatment.
