Fortune’s Weave begins in Dagsion with a tournament whose winner receives a single wish. Cai wants freedom for his imprisoned father, Dietrich seeks a test of skill, Queen Theodora hopes to prove herself after her father’s death, and musician Leda pursues revenge and the mysterious Lechner.

Five Years Later, the World Is Ruined

The apparent tournament story gives way to a devastated future and the demon god Balor. Sothis summons the true protagonist, while the time goddess Fortuna sends that character back to the Heroic Games to change fate and recruit the four competitors.

Time Travel Fixes the Branching-Path Grind

Each hero has an individual route, but players can jump among them while retaining progress in every path. That structure encourages seeing the full story without restarting the entire game repeatedly, addressing one of the largest time demands in Three Houses.

Fire Emblem Connects Its Own History

The game takes place hundreds of years after Three Houses and includes an older Sothis and the Hero’s Relics. Its time jump recalls Three Houses, while placing the player in the role of a time traveler echoes Awakening—familiar ideas combined into a new political and world-ending crisis.
