The City Opens Up Its Starting Five

NBA 2K27 makes The City fully co-ed for the first time, letting players create a female MyPlayer and enter modes including The REC, Street Kings, Proving Grounds, and the new Crew HQ. Every avatar uses the same build framework, so height, attributes, badges, and wingspan come from player choices rather than appearance.

Careers With Friends—and History

MyCareer finally supports direct co-op through Trace Miller, a customizable G League teammate controlled by a friend while both players earn their own VC and Season XP. MyCareer Eras also lets a created player enter five defining periods, from Magic versus Bird through the eras of Jordan, Kobe, LeBron, and Steph.

A Century to Build

MyNBA Legacy combines front-office decisions with a player-locked career that can stretch across 100 years. Elsewhere, 53 badges—including 19 new ones—feed into a token-based builder and a Synergy system that can push selected abilities beyond their current tier.

NBA 2K27 arrives September 4. Deluxe and Ultra Edition preorders include up to nine days of early access beginning August 26, offering the most committed players a head start on its redesigned courts and career systems.
