Mask of Idris sends Code Vein II into the Forsaken World, a realm assembled from Temporal Rifts left behind whenever history was altered. Those fragments should have faded, but their continued expansion has created a fractured place where alternate paths remain preserved—and where a colossal Spindle of Pathos now pulls emotions across time and space.

Two Partners, Two Very Different Stories

Liv Voda, the original guardian of the Temporal Rift, joins as an aggressive halberd fighter built around relentless melee pressure, evasive movement, and making enemies easier to stagger. Lou Magmell also returns in name and appearance, but this is a different version of the Revenant girl, shaped by another tragedy whose truth unfolds through the DLC.

Together they accompany the protagonist through a story separate from the main campaign. Access requires certain progression conditions, so the expansion is designed as a new branch for players already familiar with Code Vein II’s altered history.

Aerial Kicks and Swords of Pathos

New weapons and Formae expand combat against the Forsaken World’s bosses. Grave Knocker works with every weapon type, launching an aerial kick that produces two crowd-staggering shockwaves, while Sword of Karma summons Idris’s flaming greatsword for long-reaching combinations and a fire-casting final strike.

Mask of Idris launches September 9 alongside a free update for all players. Its appeal is a new story with consequences large enough to threaten the main world, paired with tools built to make returning fighters rethink their usual builds.
