Usurp the Shadow Throne is the 20th booster expansion for Flesh and Blood, centered on heroes aligned with Light and Shadow. Its story follows a mysterious stranger searching for a way to use the fell omens scarring Rathe. That conflict brings the game's opposing forces into the same set while opening space for several darker hero classes.

Necromancers Join the Hero Lineup

Revealed categories include Shadow Brute, Shadow Necromancer, Shadow Runeblade, Generic Guardian, and Revered Guardian cards. Necromancer representation gives deck builders a fresh class direction within the Shadow side of the release. The full set contains 263 new cards, providing enough depth for both new archetypes and updates to established strategies.

Two Fabled Cards Break New Ground

For the first time in a Flesh and Blood expansion, the rarity breakdown includes two Fabled cards. The rest of the set spans 27 Marvel, five Legendary, 40 Majestic, 66 Rare, 133 Common, and 16 Basic cards. That distribution makes the highest-end chase wider than usual while leaving a large common foundation for Limited play.

One Box Supports Several Ways to Play

Usurp the Shadow Throne is a standalone booster release designed for Booster Draft, Sealed Deck, and Constructed formats. Each pack contains 16 cards, with 24 packs per display and four displays per case. The set releases September 25, 2026, giving players a complete environment to draft immediately rather than requiring cards from an earlier expansion.
