Thirty Artists Take On Pikachu

The Pokémon TCG 30th Anniversary Collection turns its mascot into a gallery, with 30 different Pikachu cards illustrated by 30 artists. The set also revisits beloved cards from earlier eras and gives old favorites fresh interpretations, including a new version of the famously round original Pikachu design. It is built as both a celebration of the game's history and a hunt for unfamiliar artwork.

Future Rare Adds a New Finish

The anniversary set introduces Future Rare, a rarity with a chromatic card treatment. Early material also points to monochrome RGB-themed Mew and Mewtwo cards inspired by the original Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green games, though those remain less firmly detailed. Booster packs contain seven cards instead of the ten found in standard Pokémon packs.

Five Boxes Offer Different Entry Points

The Elite Trainer Box includes nine boosters, a Nidorina promo, dice, and sleeves for $49.99. Smaller products include a two-pack Knock Out Collection with Eevee, four-pack Sylveon ex and Greninja ex boxes, three-pack Tech Sticker collections, and a Poster Collection with Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos promos. Suggested prices run from $9.99 to $49.99.

Anniversary Demand Starts Early

The collection releases September 16, 2026, but initial retailer drops have already drawn heavy competition, especially for the Elite Trainer Box. The mix of accessible small boxes and a large number of Pikachu designs gives collectors several ways to participate. Seven-card boosters also make each sealed product's exact pack count more important when comparing the lineup.
