The JBL Cove X1 sits at the top of the company's first dedicated whole-home Wi-Fi speaker range. Four tweeters and two woofers give the $450 model the most substantial driver array in the family, with Dolby Atmos support aimed at wider, room-filling playback.

Built to Be the System's Anchor

Where the smaller M1 suits secondary rooms and the battery-powered P1 moves around the house, the X1 is the fixed high-output choice. Its extra drivers make it a natural starting point for a living room or other shared space, while monochrome black and white finishes keep the large acoustic role visually restrained.

Add Rooms Without Replacing the First Speaker

The JBL One app can group X1, P1, and M1 units over Wi-Fi for synchronized listening. That modular approach lets the system expand one speaker at a time, with each room getting the model that suits its size and use rather than forcing identical hardware everywhere.

Two X1s Can Move Behind the Couch

Cove speakers can connect to compatible JBL soundbars as dedicated rear channels for home theater. A pair of X1s brings the range's strongest driver package to that job, giving movie sound a larger presence behind the listener. The Cove X1 becomes available globally September 13 with the other two models.
