The JBL Cove P1 adds a battery to the company's new Wi-Fi speaker system, making it the model that can follow a gathering between rooms. It runs for up to 14 hours per charge, so synchronized home audio does not have to stop at the nearest power cable.

Dolby Atmos Travels With It

Full Dolby Atmos support gives the P1 a more spacious presentation than the entry-level Cove M1. At $400, it is positioned as the premium portable choice in the family, balancing richer playback with the freedom to move from an office to the kitchen, patio, or wherever the next part of the day happens.

One App Connects the Rooms

The JBL One app groups Cove speakers over Wi-Fi for synchronized multi-room listening. Owners can add individual units over time rather than buying a complete system at once, and the P1's battery makes it especially useful as the roaming member of a larger fixed setup.

A Portable Speaker With a Theater Job

The P1 can also connect to a compatible JBL soundbar and work as a rear surround channel. That gives it a useful double shift: music around the house during the day, then a more enveloping movie setup at night. Black and white versions arrive globally on September 13 alongside the rest of the Cove line.
