The format makes familiar instructional media feel like evidence from a world quietly being replaced.

Alex Kister Keeps Control of the Nightmare

Kister is set to direct the adaptation and co-wrote the screenplay with Tyler Clifton. That keeps the creator of the original web series close to the film's tone and mythology as it expands to a theatrical scale. United Artists and Amazon MGM Studios are behind the project, with Scott Stuber and Steven Spielberg's Amblin among the producing forces that secured the rights after a competitive pursuit.

A Web-Born Mythology Gets a Distant Date

The movie is scheduled for June 9, 2028, leaving substantial time to translate an intentionally fragmented series into a feature-length story. The central challenge is also what makes it fascinating: The Mandela Catalogue scares viewers through damaged images, missing context, and the sense that official instructions cannot be trusted.
