The PEN Finally Gets a Viewfinder

OM SYSTEM revives the PEN name with a compact interchangeable-lens camera that adds a built-in electronic viewfinder without losing the line's flat-topped, rangefinder-style profile. It weighs about 393 grams with battery and memory card, making it a small daily camera that no longer forces photographers to compose every shot on the rear screen.

Stabilized, Weather-Ready, and Subject Aware

The 20.37-megapixel Live MOS sensor works with a TruePic IX processor and five-axis stabilization rated for up to 5.5 stops of compensation at the center. Autofocus uses 121 cross-type phase-detection points, plus AI detection for people, cats, and dogs. The body is also the first PEN with dust resistance and IPX1 splash resistance when paired with a compatible sealed lens and kept away from charging or HDMI use.

Creative Controls Get Their Own Switches

A front control opens Color and Monochrome Profile settings for film-inspired looks, while a separate computational-photography button reaches high-resolution capture, Live ND, and focus stacking. Silver and black bodies cost $999.99, and a $1,099.99 kit adds the new M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 III zoom. The appeal is the combination: a genuinely compact PEN body with the viewfinder, stabilization, and weather protection that make it easier to carry beyond fair-weather street walks.
