Layton Crosses the Atlantic for Luke

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam reunites the professor with his former apprentice one year after the events of Unwound Future. Luke has moved to America and built a reputation as a detective in Steam Bison, a city whose mechanical inventions are advancing under the power of steam. When a new mystery surfaces, Layton arrives to see how much his young partner has grown.

Puzzles Can Change Steam Bison

Exploration and hand-drawn animation return, but the city has a clever connection to the puzzles. As Layton and Luke solve more of them, Steam Bison itself develops, making progress visible in the streets around them. The brainteasers were created with QuizKnock, the Japanese puzzle and knowledge group also involved with Layton's Mystery Journey Deluxe Edition Plus.

A Long-Awaited Partnership Resumes

This is the first new main adventure built around Layton and Luke together in years, and its American setting gives their familiar partnership a different backdrop. The game launches December 10 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC. With Luke established on his own turf and Layton entering as the visitor, the reunion has a welcome shift in perspective as well as a fresh case to solve.
