Scooby Witnesses a Supernatural Murder

Scooby-Doo: Origins gives Mystery Inc. a first case with unusually high stakes. During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne encounter a lonely, lost Great Dane puppy who may have seen a supernatural murder, pulling them toward a mystery that threatens to expose their own secrets.

Four Teenagers Become a Gang

Tanner Hagen plays Shaggy opposite Mckenna Grace as Daphne. Their search brings in Abby Ryder Fortson's pragmatic, science-minded Velma and Maxwell Jenkins's strange but handsome newcomer Fred, letting the familiar team form through the investigation instead of arriving fully assembled.

A Live-Action First for Television

The Netflix production blends live action with a CGI Scooby and marks the franchise's first live-action television series. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg lead the modern reimagining, with Warner Bros. Television, Midnight Radio, and Berlanti Productions behind it.

Filming has wrapped in Atlanta, putting the eight-episode season on course for its 2027 debut. The puppy-era setup gives the show a playful origin hook, while the murder and creeping nightmare suggest this Mystery Inc. may face something darker than a crook wearing a rubber mask.
