Neue Klasse Tech Reaches the Flagship

The 2027 BMW i7 keeps its familiar luxury-sedan platform but gains the battery and electronics developed for BMW's Neue Klasse EVs. A 112.5-kWh usable pack with new cylindrical cells raises energy density by 20 percent, pushing the i7 xDrive60 beyond an estimated 350 miles of EPA range.

Faster Stops, Familiar Long-Distance Comfort

Charging climbs to 250 kW, with a 10-to-80-percent session estimated at 28 minutes, and a native NACS port simplifies public charging in North America. The xDrive60 makes 536 horsepower, while the new xDrive50 offers 449 horsepower and a projected 5.3-second run to 60 mph.

The Windshield Joins the Dashboard

BMW's Panoramic Vision projects information across the lower windshield, paired with a 17.9-inch central display and an available 14.6-inch passenger screen. A lighter zonal electrical system removes roughly 2,000 feet of wiring, while new computers deliver far more processing power behind the scenes.
