A Lamborghini Heart Wears Four Rings

The Audi Nuvolari pairs a 10,000-rpm, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with three axial-flux electric motors. The combination sends 987 horsepower through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, exceeding the output of the Lamborghini Temerario that supplied its basic powertrain. Audi claims 62 mph in 2.6 seconds, 124 mph in 6.8 seconds, and a top speed beyond 217 mph.

Active Aero Joins the Quattro System

An active front wing and rear aerodynamic hardware adjust downforce, drag, and balance as conditions change. Audi's predictive quattro setup also uses sensors to alter torque at each wheel before grip disappears. At maximum attack, the body can generate 882 pounds of downforce, while carbon-ceramic brakes with ten-piston front calipers manage the speed.

Carbon Fiber Reaches the Entire Shell

Nuvolari is the first Audi with full carbon-fiber bodywork, complemented by center-lock forged-aluminum wheels. Air intakes and door handles are worked into the doors, and the rear Audi emblem is metal set directly into milled carbon fiber. Buyers can keep the carbon exposed instead of covering it with the Titanium paint.

Only 499 Garages Get One

The cabin favors the driver over everyday convenience. Physical steering-wheel controls remain, but there are no cupholders, wireless phone charger, or conventional rear window; a camera handles the rear view instead. With 499 coupes planned and a price in the upper $600,000s, Nuvolari is Audi's new halo car in rarity as much as performance.
