Bentley Lets the Continental Off Its Leash

The 2027 Supersports takes the familiar Continental GT shape and turns it into something Bentley has rarely offered: a rear-wheel-drive coupe built around driver involvement. The plug-in hybrid hardware and rear seats are gone, helping trim roughly half a ton from the car while making room for a pair of low-mounted, heated performance seats.

A V8 With Nothing to Hide Behind

Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 sends 657 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Bentley estimates a 0-to-60-mph run of about 3.5 seconds and a 193-mph top speed, but the bigger story is the chassis: an electronic limited-slip differential, a wider rear track, and recalibrated stability systems let the rear axle do more than simply follow the front.

Carbon Fiber That Earns Its Keep

The fixed rear wing, front splitter, side blades, diffuser, and carbon roof are not just visual theater. Together, the aero package adds more than 660 pounds of downforce, while an active Akrapovic titanium exhaust gives the V8 a sharper voice without sacrificing the quieter touring mode expected of a Bentley.

A Rare Bentley With a Wild Streak

Only 500 examples are planned, and the $490,350 production run is already spoken for, with roughly a third headed to the United States. That makes the Supersports less a new trim level than a statement of intent: Bentley can still build a grand tourer that asks to be driven hard.
