The Corrale Returns Lighter and Corded

Dyson has rebuilt its Corrale straightener around a slimmer, easier-to-direct body. The original model's battery made it cordless but also heavy and bulky, so the Corrale CoolShine trades that freedom for a power cord and a more comfortable shape. Its flexible plates return at a narrower width, helping them gather hair with less chance of snagging.

Copper Pipes Pull Heat Away From Hair

The namesake CoolShine feature comes from removable frames that slide over the hot plates. Each frame contains a copper heat pipe with a small bead of water that absorbs residual heat as the tool moves along a strand. The center still provides straightening heat, while the bars beside it help hair feel cooler during and after styling.

Lower Heat Remains the Corrale Idea

Flexible plates bend around the hair and apply more even tension instead of pinching it against a rigid surface. Dyson uses that control to pursue effective straightening at lower temperatures, now paired with immediate heat extraction. The attachment can be clipped into place when cooling is wanted rather than permanently changing the core straightener.

A Cheaper, More Focused Second Generation

Dyson Corrale CoolShine releases September 15, 2026, in the United States for $329. It follows the Airsmooth dryer brush by one week. The new version is built for people who valued the original Corrale's plate design but found its weight harder to live with.
