Scrubbing Focuses on the Actual Spot

Targeted detection lets the R3 concentrate water and movement where a stain remains rather than soaking the entire route equally. It is designed for homes that deal with dried spills and less obvious residue as well as everyday dust. That makes it the specialist at the top of Dyson's Nurovi robot lineup, above the more general R2 Wash+Dry.

Vacuuming and Washing Share One Route

The robot combines debris pickup, mapped navigation, and hard-floor washing in a single machine. Sensors help it understand floor type and room layout while automated maintenance prepares it for the next run. Owners can use the MyDyson app to define zones, set schedules, and review where the robot cleaned.

Dyson's Premium Robot Bet

At $1,199, the R3 costs considerably more than the $699 R2, with UV stain detection and precision scrubbing providing the clearest reason to move up. It is aimed at buyers who want the robot to find questionable patches on its own rather than manually marking them in an app. Sales begin September 15.
