Triangle Pads Find the Corners

The Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry replaces the usual circular robot mops with curved Reuleaux triangle pads. Their pointed edges extend toward walls and corners while an eccentric motion keeps the cleaning surface moving smoothly. An extending side sweeper pulls hair and debris out of the same hard-to-reach areas.

Two Pickup Methods Work in Sequence

Dyson's Twin-capture system pairs a brush bar for larger debris with concentrated suction for fine dust. Acoustic piezo sensing monitors dirt levels, while floor detection changes the robot's behavior as it moves between hard surfaces and carpet. The R2 can vacuum and wash during one routine instead of requiring separate passes.

The Dock Uses Hot Water, Then Hot Air

After a run, the bagless dock empties dry waste through eight cyclones and stores up to 90 days of debris. It washes the mop pads at 167 degrees Fahrenheit, then dries them with 113-degree air to limit mold and odors. The station also refills and recharges the robot automatically.

Lidar, line lasers, and edge sensors help the R2 map rooms and avoid obstacles, while the MyDyson app handles zones, schedules, no-go areas, and cleaning order. Its strength is coverage, especially along boundaries that round robots tend to miss. The $699 model is on sale today as a Costco exclusive.
