Suction That Seals Itself to Carpet

The Roomba Max 875 Combo pairs 35,000 Pa of suction with a new SealForce system. A skirt lowers around the cleaning head to create a tighter seal on carpet, concentrating the machine's airflow where dirt is embedded. iRobot says the combination can clean carpet up to three times more deeply than its previous approach, while PerfectEdge extends cleaning closer to walls and corners.

Heated Mist Before a Harder Scrub

For dried spills, ThermaMist applies a continuous ultrasonic mist heated to 140 degrees Fahrenheit before the mop passes over the area. The PowerSpin Max roller then turns at 300 rpm with 18 newtons of downward pressure and heated water. It is iRobot's largest roller mop so far, with a wider cleaning path and a shield that lifts it away from carpet to help keep fibers dry.

Navigation That Recognizes the Mess

ClearView Pro lidar builds the room map, while PrecisionVision AI helps the robot identify obstacles and different kinds of debris. That allows the Max 875 to adjust its cleaning behavior instead of treating every patch of floor the same way. The extending edge system also gives the roller and brush better reach around furniture and baseboards.

A Dock Designed for Long Gaps

The AutoWash dock empties debris, refills water, measures detergent, washes the mop with hot water, and dries it with heat. iRobot estimates owners can go up to 90 days between emptying the debris container. The Roomba Max 875 Combo costs $1,199.99 and is expected to begin shipping in about two weeks, followed by broader retail availability later in the month.
