Nothing Adds a Third Driver to Its Headphones

The rumored Nothing Headphone (1) Pro would move the company's over-ear line upmarket with a triple-driver audio system. Tuning is reportedly being handled by Metropolis Studios, the European recording and mastering company. Head-tracked spatial audio and Hi-Res Audio support are also expected, giving the Pro model a clearer technical identity than a simple material upgrade.

Ten Microphones Take On Noise Control

Active noise cancellation is said to rely on 10 microphones, while Bluetooth 6.1 updates the wireless connection. The shell reportedly uses aluminum, extending Nothing's preference for visually distinctive hardware with a more substantial material. Those additions help explain the proposed $399 price, which is $100 above the original Headphone (1).

Sixty Hours May Include ANC

Reported playback time reaches 60 hours. That number is lower than Nothing's cheaper current headphones in raw terms, but it may apply with active noise cancellation enabled, which would make the comparison much more favorable. A September 29 launch is currently expected, though Nothing has not announced the product. If the leak holds, the Pro is being positioned around a more elaborate acoustic system, heavier-duty ANC, and spatial processing rather than chasing the longest battery figure in the family.
