Jace Tries to Rewrite the Multiverse

Reality Fracture is Magic: The Gathering's next mainline set, built around a dangerous what-if experiment. Jace Beleren has created the Echoverse, an artificial Multiverse meant to remove horrors such as the Phyrexians from history. The catch is enormous: his improved reality would overwrite the world and people players already know.

Familiar Legends, Different Colors

The set explores alternate paths through Echoed Pairs, recasting characters and cards under different mana colors while keeping each design within that color's normal abilities. Much of the action centers on Hexhaven, an alternate version of Strixhaven with ally-colored colleges. That tighter setting gives the conflict a personal scale even as the fate of the Multiverse hangs over it.

A Common Planeswalker Token

Empower Jace is the one completely new mechanic. Inspired by amass, it creates and strengthens a planeswalker token instead of building a creature token, allowing common cards to interact with a card type that has never appeared at common rarity. Reality Fracture also brings the original five Lorwyn planeswalkers into one story for the first time. The set arrives October 2, turning years of Jace's story into a release about alternate identities, hard choices, and what must be lost to preserve an imperfect world.
