Sony's ULT Tower 7 moves beyond the forward-focused design of the smaller Tower 5 with 360-degree Party Sound. Its 280mm woofer, two midrange speakers, and four tweeters are arranged to carry music around a room rather than aiming the entire performance at one seating position.

Four listening modes give the 50-pound speaker distinct personalities. ULT1 leans into deep bass, ULT2 maximizes power, FLAT preserves the original EQ, and LIVE widens the presentation for a concert feel. Sony's Sound Connect app adds custom equalization when those presets are not quite right.

Twenty-Five Hours Before the Wheels Stop

The built-in battery runs for up to 25 hours, giving the Tower 7 a long unplugged stretch between charges. Integrated wheels and a redesigned handle make its considerable weight more manageable, while IPX4 water resistance helps around pool splashes or an unpredictable patio gathering.
