Subaru Adds an Electric Third Row

The Getaway is a six- or seven-seat electric SUV with the space and all-wheel drive expected from a family Subaru. Two motors produce 420 horsepower and a claimed sub-five-second run to 60 mph, while a 95.8-kWh battery targets more than 300 miles of range.

Room for Trips Beyond the School Run

Ground clearance measures 8.3 inches and towing capacity reaches 3,500 pounds. Cargo space is 15.9 cubic feet behind the third row and expands to 45.6 cubic feet when those seats fold, giving the Getaway useful flexibility without hiding how much room the last row consumes.

NACS and a 14-Inch Screen

The native NACS port accepts up to 150 kW, with Subaru estimating about 30 minutes for a 10-to-80-percent charge. A 14-inch infotainment display, 12.3-inch driver screen, and charging ports for rear passengers bring the cabin in line with its road-trip brief.
