After skipping the 2026 model year in the United States, Volkswagen's electric van returns with a new Tourer 4Motion trim built around overnight trips. A folding mattress and platform, window blinds, ventilation panels, and an exterior table with chairs turn the cabin into a compact campsite.

Climate Control After Lights Out

Overnight Mode lets the van keep climate control and selected electronics running while parked, drawing from the traction battery. The update also adds true one-pedal stopping, upgraded ID.S6 software, and an in-car app store across the range.

A Smaller, More Focused Lineup

The 2027 choices are Pro S rear-wheel drive, Pro S 4Motion, Tourer 4Motion, and Pro S Plus 4Motion. Every version now wears two-tone paint, with new white-over-red bodywork and white wheels adding an especially cheerful option to the retro shape.
