A 200-Inch Picture From Near the Wall

The XGIMI Aura 3 Max is an ultra-short-throw laser projector built to replace a large television without taking over the room. Its 0.163:1 throw ratio can create a 120-inch image from roughly eight inches away, and supported picture sizes reach 200 inches. Peak brightness climbs to 5,700 ISO lumens, the highest figure in the Aura 3 pair.

Four-K at 120Hz Is the Headline

Two display controllers work together to produce 4K output at 120Hz, a rare combination for an ultra-short-throw projector. HDMI 2.1 brings variable refresh rate, automatic low-latency mode, AMD FreeSync Premium, and Dolby Vision Gaming. XGIMI claims input lag can fall as low as 1ms in the appropriate mode.

Triple Lasers and a Moving Iris

An RGB triple-laser engine covers 110 percent of the BT.2020 color space. XGIMI's Dynamic Dual Iris system adjusts light output to reach a native contrast ratio of up to 8,000:1, supported by dynamic black enhancement. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and 3D playback round out the cinema features, with two pairs of 3D glasses included.

Streaming and Sound Are Already Inside

Google TV supplies native Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and casting, while an integrated 80W Harman Kardon system handles Dolby Atmos audio. The Aura 3 Max launches on Kickstarter October 20 at $2,399. A $50 reservation through XGIMI can secure an additional $200 discount ahead of that campaign.
