The Bedside Yoto Gets More Expressive

The fourth-generation Yoto Player turns the company's larger card-based speaker into a more capable fixture for bedrooms and playrooms. Its front display still gives children a visual cue without becoming a conventional screen, while a redesigned full-panel night light can show more dynamic colors. Individually controlled pixels also leave room for future effects that react to audio.

Favorite Stories at the Turn of a Button

The new Green Button gives children access to parent-picked audio when a card is not inserted. Families can load up to 20 daytime favorites and another 20 for bedtime through the Yoto app, then use the enhanced display to recognize each choice. It is a useful middle ground between the independence of physical cards and the flexibility of a digital library.

A Thousand Hours Inside the Cube

With 64GB of storage, the player can hold more than 1,000 hours of downloaded stories, podcasts, and music for offline listening. Redesigned stereo acoustics improve the sound, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.1 update its connections. It also works with Yoto's current wireless charging dock and an upcoming green version, though it does not share the Mini's water resistance. The new model costs $150, up from $110, with shipments scheduled for October 15.
