Into the Radius 2 makes preparation feel as physical as the firefights. Players can position pouches and holsters on chest rigs, armor, and backpacks, setting up a sidearm draw or over-the-shoulder magazine grab exactly where muscle memory expects it. Weapons also accept interchangeable barrels, stocks, optics, grips, and magazines, with more than 15 solid paint colors and 10 camouflage patterns.

Dirt Can Stop a Rifle Cold

Each modular gun component tracks its own wear and grime. Cleaning spray and a brush have to reach the individual parts, because neglected hardware can cause a jam during a run. That maintenance turns the quiet time between expeditions into survival work, where a rushed cleaning job may matter hours later in the fog.

The Anomaly Learned New Tricks

Mimics use cover and flank, Fragments charge directly, and Phantoms remain hard to see until the player stops moving to focus. Environmental hazards can release electric shocks, fire shrapnel, swallow nearby light, attach to the body, or blast explorers backward. The periodic Tide resets enemies and loot, preventing one safe route from becoming a permanent solution.

PS VR2 Makes the Radius More Physical

Adaptive triggers vary firearm resistance, headset and controller haptics carry anomaly pulses and close impacts, and 3D Audio helps locate hazards and footsteps. Native 90 fps performance works with eye-tracked foveated rendering to keep distant threats clear. The full single-player campaign arrives first, followed by a free two-player co-op update in Q4 2026 for partners ready to share resources and cover each other's sightlines.
