Three Super Soldiers Pick the Wrong Trailer Park

Onslaught drops a former Army sniper into a siege against three genetically engineered super soldiers who have escaped from a secret base. The attackers are huge, heavily armed, and nearly mindless, giving the movie the blunt horror hook of multiple slasher villains carrying military firepower.

Celeste Has a Daughter to Protect

Adria Arjona plays Celeste, a veteran living in the desert with her daughter while dealing with PTSD, custody trouble, and an ex-husband. Her trailer contains a serious weapons cache, but the fight does not unfold as a simple trip to the gun rack. The setup forces her training and protective instinct to carry more weight than the hardware.

Adam Wingard Returns to Grounded Genre Action

Director Adam Wingard reunites with writer Simon Barrett, his collaborator on You're Next and The Guest, after several years spent with Godzilla and Kong. The film mixes graphic violence, striking desert imagery, and a mad-science backstory led by Dan Stevens. It is a smaller, nastier arena than Wingard's recent monster spectacles.

A Cast Packed With Genre Familiarity

Drew Starkey plays an eccentric government operative tracking the escaped soldiers, with Rebecca Hall, Michael Biehn, Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, and fighter Alex Pereira filling out the ensemble. The result brings action veterans, horror energy, and one very capable mother into the same confined battle. Onslaught opens in theaters September 4.
