More Camera Behind the Costume

Unlike the two compact Go editions, the Now shoots traditional full-size Polaroid film. Its third-generation hardware uses improved ranging sensors for the two-lens autofocus system, and a repositioned light meter is intended to produce better-balanced exposures.

That makes the $140 Now the more capable choice in the anniversary lineup, especially for anyone who values a larger finished photograph over pocketability. The playful shell does not change the core camera; it dresses Polaroid’s more substantial automatic model for a Pokémon collection.

Frames From Across the Pokédex

Matching Color i-Type Film costs $23 and features a wider roster around its borders, including Togepi, Mew, and Snorlax. Pokémon also appear on the film’s collectible dark slides, which owners can catalog through Polaroid’s online tracking portal.

The camera joins themed albums, straps, film, and a smaller Poké Ball-shaped Go case. Preorders begin August 25 through Polaroid and the Pokémon Center, followed by a full release on October 5.
