The Original Xbox Green Becomes a Numbered Series X

Microsoft's anniversary console replaces the standard black exterior with translucent OG Green plastic that reveals the hardware beneath it. A glowing green X, an Xbox 25 mark, and an individual engraved number identify each unit as part of the limited run. The internals remain those of the familiar 1TB Xbox Series X.

Black and White Bumpers Remember the Duke

The bundled X25 wireless controller continues the transparent finish and restores the original colors to the ABXY buttons. Its black and white bumpers refer to the auxiliary face buttons on the first Xbox's famously large Duke controller. Modern features such as the share button, hybrid directional pad, and textured grips remain unchanged, making the historical references visual rather than functional.

Halo Connects the Hardware to Launch Day

Every package includes a digital download of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the rebuilt version of the campaign that helped establish Xbox in 2001. The pairing gives buyers a current game to play while keeping the collection tied tightly to the platform's beginning.

The Xbox Series X25 launches November 13 for $899.99 after preorders opened on August 27. It offers no performance advantage over a regular Series X. The premium pays for the numbered shell, coordinated controller, and a carefully assembled piece of Xbox history.
