Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival brings the series’ maze of pleasure, pain, and punishment into a first-person survival horror game. As Aiden, players wield the Genesis Configuration—the franchise’s infernal puzzle box—to alter the environment, unlock paths, and channel powers that can set enemies ablaze.

A Labyrinth That Watches You Learn

The most unsettling puzzles make the world itself feel hostile. Aiden’s apparently normal home folds into repeating rooms until he turns back instead of pushing forward, while an encounter with the Chatterer becomes a deadly test of finding the one corridor the Cenobite cannot block by teleporting into view.

Hints can hide in distorted photographs or diagrams left on desks, but the solutions often demand a change in perspective. Elsewhere, the Genesis Configuration can rotate huge mechanisms, reshape itself into a key, and realign narrow walkways through chambers lined with spikes.

Survival Horror With Barker’s Blessing

Firearms, crafting resources, lock-picking, and a Resident Evil-style inventory bring familiar survival mechanics, but the puzzles are designed to serve the story rather than interrupt it. Clive Barker advised the project from its earliest stages, and Doug Bradley returns as Pinhead, giving the developers two direct links to the films’ identity.

The campaign is expected to run for more than 12 hours, with enhanced graphical settings and PSSR support on PS5 Pro. It arrives on PlayStation 5 on October 8, and preorders are open now.
