The Moon Holy Grail War Rebuilt

Fate/Extra Record returns to the series' first RPG and rebuilds it for modern PlayStation hardware. The story takes place inside SE.RA.PH, a digital world created by a supercomputer hidden on the moon. There, 128 Masters summon legendary Servants and enter a tournament where defeat costs the losing Master their life.

A Master With No Memory

The player wakes inside the conflict without knowing how they arrived and must form a contract with one of three possible Servants. Progress depends on investigating rival Servants, uncovering their true identities, and learning the weaknesses tied to their legends. Arena exploration provides information and strength before each decisive one-on-one confrontation.

Command Cards Become a Deck

The original battle system has been replaced by customizable Command Card decks. Attack cards inflict damage, Guard cards build a shield, and Skill cards introduce abilities unique to each Servant. New commands come from treasure and powerful enemies, so preparation and deck construction matter as much as the actions chosen from a hand.

More Than a Visual Remaster

Type-Moon has expanded the story, renewed the character models, and updated the full presentation rather than simply polishing the 2010 game. A Digital Deluxe Edition adds costumes, arranged music, a digital art book, and a soundtrack. Fate/Extra Record launches worldwide on PS4 and PS5 on January 28, 2027.
