Until Dawn 2 follows Dead True, a struggling paranormal YouTube crew sent to gather footage for a television network. Their search leads from Blackwood Sanitorium to Akishima Island, an abandoned South Pacific resort with secrets stretching back centuries. Even the group's chicken companion can become part of the life-or-death choices.

Every Bad Decision Keeps Spreading

Firesprite is preserving the series' branching structure, where conversations, quick reactions, and route choices alter later outcomes. One character may follow a signal to help a missing friend or cross an unstable bridge in search of clues. Another must decide whether to sacrifice the chicken for a live ritual or risk using her own blood.

Dispatch Writers Join the Slasher

AdHoc Studio, the team behind Dispatch, collaborated on the story, dialogue, relationships, and decision paths. The cast includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Gia Kim, Dacre Montgomery, Spence Moore II, and Camila Senna. Peter Stormare also returns as Dr. Hill, reconnecting the sequel with the original game's unsettling psychological framing.

Eight People, Plenty of Ways to Die

The Digital Deluxe Edition adds neon costumes for all eight Dead True members and a Diorama of Death mode that revisits each fatal outcome from new angles. Preorders open September 10 with Dr. Hill-themed outfits and collectibles. Until Dawn 2 launches for PS5 on January 28, 2027.
