Usopp Rebuilds the Straw Hats' Story

LEGO One Piece turns the Netflix adventure into a two-part animated retelling narrated by the crew's least dependable storyteller. Usopp recounts the Straw Hats' journey to their newest recruit, Tony Tony Chopper, covering the voyage across the East Blue and into the Grand Line. That point of view gives the special a natural excuse to make familiar events bigger, stranger, and funnier in brick form.

Two Seasons Become One Tall Tale

The story revisits major events from the first two live-action seasons, including the fights with the Arlong Pirates and Baroque Works. It is designed as a quick entry point for viewers meeting the crew for the first time, while existing fans get to see the same adventures reshaped by LEGO comedy and animation. The live-action cast returns to voice the brick versions of their characters.

The Straw Hats Meet Atomic Cartoons

Netflix is producing the special with the LEGO Group, Shueisha, and Vancouver animation studio Atomic Cartoons. Showrunner Jeff Hyndman also writes and executive-produces, while One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is among the executive producers. The partnership links the manga's creator, the live-action series, and a studio experienced with family animation.

Two Episodes Arrive Together

Both parts premiere worldwide on Netflix on September 29, 2026. The compact format makes this a playful recap rather than another full season, with Usopp and Chopper providing the frame around the crew's early exploits. It also marks Netflix's first LEGO animated One Piece special.
