Maserati: The Brothers turns the birth of one of Italy's oldest performance marques into a period racing drama. The story centers on Alfieri, Bindo, and Carlo Maserati, treating the family behind the trident as the heart of the film rather than using the cars as polished background props.

Indy Glory Anchors the Racing Story

The brothers' journey leads toward Maserati's back-to-back Indianapolis 500 victories in 1939 and 1940, still a singular achievement for an Italian manufacturer. The teaser also puts prewar cars wheel to wheel on narrow Italian roads, capturing a time when racing speed came with very little protection.

An Awards-Heavy Cast and Director

Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins take central roles, with Andy Garcia also joining the cast. Michele Morrone plays Alfieri Maserati, Salvatore Esposito portrays Bindo, and Lorenzo de Moor appears as Carlo. Robert Moresco directs, bringing the perspective of the Oscar-winning co-writer of Crash to the family's mix of ambition, rivalry, and risk.

Modena Provides the Real Backdrop

Production took place largely in and around Modena, with additional filming in Rome, giving the period piece a direct connection to the region where the company began. An Italian release is targeted for October 15, 2026, while a United States date has yet to be set. For car fans, the combination of real racing history, physical locations, and serious acting talent makes this more than another brand biopic.
