A Brave New World Built by an Android

The story follows David as he tries to create a "brave new world for himself" after his experiments with synthetic and biological evolution. Covenant left him in control of a colony ship and thousands of sleeping humans, so his idea of creation carries a threat far beyond another isolated encounter with a xenomorph.

Artificial intelligence has run through Scott's work from Alien to Blade Runner, often as something human-made that develops needs its creators cannot contain.
