Price Goes Off the Books

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 pushes Captain Price into a personal campaign as a wider conflict edges toward global catastrophe. The story moves through Korean trenches, close-quarters fighting in New York, chases across Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai, and assaults on occupied cities. Infinity Ward is leading development, with the campaign built around both large battles and covert operations.

Every Shot Answers to Ballistic Authority

Multiplayer introduces a weapon-focused system called Ballistic Authority, aligning aiming, recoil, stance, camera behavior, audio, and target visibility. Bloom has been removed, while weapon handling and convergence have been rebuilt to respond more directly to player input. Expanded mantling, climbing, hanging, and jumping add more routes through each fight while keeping movement grounded.

Kill Block Rebuilds the Battlefield

The new Kill Block arena rearranges its modular sections between rounds, changing cover, routes, and sightlines. More than 500 configurations are possible at launch, with support for 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight. Beyond it, multiplayer includes 12 core launch maps, dedicated Gunfight spaces, combined-arms maps, Hardcore variants, and familiar modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.

Current Hardware Gets the Full War

Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version is being developed natively with Digital Legends, while Beenox is partnering on the PC edition. Digital preorders are open on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, with early access to the open beta included.
