A GT3 Stripped for the Starting Grid

The Porsche 911 Challenge takes the current GT3's 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, 508 horsepower, and seven-speed PDK and builds a dedicated race car around them. It is track-only, with a $275,000 price that places it below Porsche's more specialized GT4 R customer racer.

Less Cabin, More Safety Equipment

Airbags, the passenger seat, carpeting, sound insulation, and most trim are removed. In their place are a welded roll cage, fire extinguisher, adjustable racing bucket, six-point harness, rain light, and integrated air-jack system. Air conditioning remains, a welcome bit of mercy in a car intended for long sessions.

Built for One-Make Competition

A four-way adjustable rear wing gives teams room to tune the car, while the listed 3,197-pound weight includes ballast and transport tires. Porsche designed the Challenge for eligible one-make racing beginning with the 2027 season and says lower operating costs are part of the pitch. This is a factory path from showroom GT3 hardware to a proper race paddock.
